I purchased this radio as an impulse buy. Circuit City was running this radio on sale for $0 after rebate. Out the door it cost $45.

Pros Beautiful sound

Cons Too loud even @ zero. Some crackling in the Aux input

This is a nice unit - great sound, but as the previous reviewer states, the volume is still substantial at zero. This is a major design flaw to an otherwise beautiful unit. "10 bucks a month for radio service?! Who would in their right mind pay for something I can get for free or listen to CDs for my music. 10 bucks a month, yeah right."

Pros Portability from car to home to work. A blessing compared to regular radio.

Cons Car kit is primitive. XM is for mass market. Don't expect to like every station.

Recommended it? Yes

Living in Southern California, I'm faced with a pretty long commute - a minimum of 2 hours a day on the road going to and from work.

I've been extremely dissatisfied with FM, and there's only so much I can take of AM after the news, traffic reports and a little talk radio here and there... Read full review »
