Pros: Excellent stability, clean interface, useful features
Cons: Cost, upgrading from 98 to 2000 can be tricky
The Bottom Line: Great for anyone interested in an excellent combination of pleasing aesthetics, feature richness, and ease of use.

Pros: Incredibly stable, excellent HCL, not very hard to install and configure, good networking
Cons: Fat hardware requirements, some software incompatibility problems, complicated for new users
The Bottom Line: Not only good for business, Win2K is a great option for home users with adequate experience. The centralized Administration options are great, and the OS is fast and stable.

Pros: Better stability, scalability and features, better GUI, installation
Cons: Hardware requirements, not all hardware supported
The Bottom Line: Windows 2000 is arguably the best Microsoft OS for business use. And I'm not arguing.

Pros: Easy installation, excellent memory management, recognizes most hardware, FAST!
Cons: Upgrading from 98 or ME can cause problems with Outlook Express
The Bottom Line: Upgrading from 98 or ME to 2000 Professional is definitely worth the extra money. You'll see better performance and enhanced multimedia features.

Cons: Service Pack problems can make you pull your hair out!
The Bottom Line: You just won't find a more stable and reliable OS from Microsoft. Win 2000 offers the best of NT4 with a tad of Win XP, and shaken to perfection.
