Pros: waterproof, shockproof, crushproof, freezeproof, compact, good photos, adequate video, software, many modes, Bright Capture
Cons: rechargable ion battery, scrolling through too many modes, somewhat long shutter time, scratches easily
The Bottom Line: I can sit on it, throw it, or dunk it in water, and it'll still take great photos and good videos. I'm happy.

Pros: Ultra-compact 7.1MP, waterproof, shockproof, continuous drive, 2.5" LCD screen, in-camera editing
Cons: Recorded sound after submerging camera in water is muffled until water is blown from microphone
The Bottom Line: A great waterproof, shock-proof, ultra-compact 7.1 MP camera. Very portable, robust, stylish and easy to operate. Great pictures and movies above and below water. Tough to break.

Pros: Shock, Water, Freeze, & Crush Proof!
Cons: Picture playback has annoying info overlay, xD Memory limited options, Panaoramic requires OEM memory.
The Bottom Line: I give this an excellent recommendation for all the features combined with the durability uniqueness.

Pros: Water/shock/freeze/crush proof is awesome! Great fun at bars.
Cons: Heavy. Image details on preview. Slide show music.
The Bottom Line: This cam is the standard for active people. The pictures are great, it's small, and it don't take no guff! You can also use it as a weapon.

Pros: Fabulous photos, exciting video, quality craftsmanship, durable, good sound, easy handling, great preview screen
Cons: terrible strap for underwater use, short battery life, writes some kind of funky AVI file
The Bottom Line: I recommend this over the Pentax W10, which we used side by side--it's much more solid, far superior photo quality and I learned it's system more quickly.

Pros: VERY durable. All weather compatible. Completely submersible. Flexible picture options.
Cons: Video quality is very poor. Proprietary USB cable. Proprietary battery. External charger.
The Bottom Line: The pros outweigh the cons. It is small enough and durable enough to take everywhere without worries.
