Pros: Small, compact, lightweight and easy to use - great value.
Cons: Unless you purchase a "bundle" everything is extra. Protective case, extra memory card, batteries.
The Bottom Line: Buy this one - you won't be disappointed.

Pros: Easy to use yet sophisticated for more advanced use.
Cons: Video is cheesy, but so what? Buy a camcorder
The Bottom Line: Buy one. Even a rank beginner can grow into its more sophisticated features. I also like the optical coupled viewfinder in addition to the LCD screen. More like an SLR.

Pros: Very compact, Unique functions/modes, Price
Cons: No audio in videoclips, Definitely for beginners
The Bottom Line: A simplified camera with a few functions that are definitely different; All with a Nikon lens and a low price that will embarass the competition.
