Pros: Image stabilization, wide angle lens, HUGE 3in screen to view photos, good zoom
Cons: could be slightly smaller
The Bottom Line: You catch more people & scenery in your photos, they are clear, and you don't have to squint to see them when you take them.

Pros: Compact size, large viewing screen, fast startup, easy navigation, picture quality (at times, battery life
Cons: Fuzzy pictures, frequent manipulation of settings required, auto setting and face-detection not recommended by Canon
The Bottom Line: Can't recommend. It's causing a little stress over the exact settings needed before taking the photo. Canon support was not very helpful. Would have liked something more fool-proof.

Pros: Compact, fantastic resolution and picture quality, great video quality, huge LCD screen
Cons: A little tough to navigate through menus, no case included
The Bottom Line: Although on the expensive side, you without a doubt get your moneys worth. Good for the avid photographer and a great start for beginning professionals.

Pros: great video capability; very portable and handy.
Cons: Red-eye in photos.
The Bottom Line: This is a great camera for beginners or as an alternative to a more flexible, larger camera (as a backup for an SLR, for example).

Pros: Good camera for family and kids shots. 10 shot self timer.
Cons: no autoexposure bracketing. case scratches too easily
The Bottom Line: It's a great 2nd pocket camera for professionals, and a good point & shoot for most others.

Pros: Face detection, image stabilization, good videos and photos with tweaking, great screen and battery life.
Cons: Limited control, poor high ISO performance, soft optics, size, weak flash, poor flash positioning.
The Bottom Line: I looked at a lot of cameras and this was by far the best.
