Easy to use - not an SLR but Close
Pros: Functions, speed to focus, weight
Cons: Size Full review We wanted to replace the SONY CyberShot 5 MP camera as my wife wasn't happy with the aperture speed and focusing. I looked at several cameras, and didn't want to have her using the old SLR with nothing but the viewfinder to frame her shots - our kids are a little to active to make that work well. So, the options were, the $1500 SLR with LCD viewing, or the $349 Canon.... hmmm - I think the price difference speaks for itself - we aren't professional photographers. She LOVES this camera, it's point and shoot works very well, the memory cards hold A LOT of pictures, it interfaces well with the PC, and she doesn't have to spend 15 hours reading the manual to learn how to use it. I like it because it does allow for some manipulation - long exposure, multiple sport shot, timer for family pictures, mounting screw compatible with all tripods and mono-pods, macro function, auto or manual focus (for soft focus.) We take a lot of family pictures, and this camera is rugged enough for our outdoor adventures, and sleek enough to take to the company Christmas party. This has been a great alternative to the Sony, and wasn't a pocket book breaker. |
