At screen sizes of 60" and above, higher resolution really helps to maintain that smooth, seamless, lifelike picture quality. 1080p (1920 x 1080 pixels) is the highest TV resolution available — TV makers are including it in their best-performing models and Toshiba's 62" 62HM195 big-screen HDTV has it. Compared to more typical 720p sets, 1080p puts twice as many pixels on the screen for pinpoint clarity. A 1080p display is a pixel-perfect match for 1080i high-definition programs, so you'll see every detail. Minimize

Pros: Excellent HD picture for a 62" TV; Standard broadcast looks pretty good.
Cons: 1080p TV that cannot receive 1080p signals, Only a problem for Blu-ray or HDDVD owners
The Bottom Line: As of 2007 I would probably recommend buying a newer model for the price, but if you find this set on closeout I would highly recommend it.

Pros: great picture quality, great color, sleek and sexy design don't forget the warranty...
Cons: quick bulb burnout
The Bottom Line: purchase this T.V. with the extended warranty!! the picture quality is worth the worry of wondering if the bulb will go out.
