Microsoft continues its 17-year tradition of flight simulators with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 Professional Edition, an expanded version of the standard Flight Simulator 2000, with enough extras to justify the slightly higher price. Though the last few editions have disappointed long-time aviation enthusiasts, Microsoft looks to reinvent the series by including cutting-edge graphics (supporting 3-D accelerators), enhanced sound, and a wealth of flyable planes and new features. Flight Simulator 2000 Professional features all the new planes and cities of the standard edition with two additional aircraft--the Mooney Bravo and Raytheon King Air 350--and six additional detailed cities--Boston, Washington D.C., Seattle, Berlin, Tokyo, and Rome. Along with the new planes and cities, FS 2000 Professional Edition also includes two additional high-resolution, extra-large IFR-flight instrument panels.
