It was good but if there were free or reduced shipping expenses with the sales, I would shop much more often. The shipping made a price of shorts $40. That's about twice what I would normally pay for one pair.

My package was shipped to my son in Idaho, via the postal service. He has lived at the same address for 10 years, yet the postal service returned the item to REI with a notation of "no such address". I had to make two phone calls to resolve the problem; the first rep was not helpful at all. Fortunately the 2nd person was knowlegeable and fixed the problem and resent the merchandise, which did arrive in time for my son's birthday. If I had known there was an option to use FedEx or UPS rather than the Post Office, I would have used them instead, but that information was not on the web site I ordered from. (the REI gift list, where people list what they want)

Your closest store is 2 1/2 hours away so it would not be feasible to ship to the store. When we visited your Atlanta store the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. My husband was able to purchase the items he needed. Since I need an extended size I had to shop on line. I found what I needed, it arrived on time and we are pleased with our purchases. Thanks.

I LOVE REI - they have great products at great prices, and being a member saved me $13 on my sons new pair of Tevas. Hands down I love shopping REI because I know I'm always going to get a quality product, and if something is wrong with the product, I know I can count on them to make it right.

Someone had relabeled the box for the product the box contained but the label was very inconspicuous to be noticed and so the person processing my order thought incorrectly that the box contained exactly what I ordered. There has to be a better system.

Excellent help by employees in the store. Tracking was a little off. I picked up one item and the tracking said the second item was in the store but it wasn't there for me to pick up. Next day it was available.

Overall very pleasant, great prices, great selection. The in store pickup option is a great money saver, but it does take awhile to come in.
