Although the webnsite is very messy and hard to navigate, the process was easy and fast. There was too much clutter on each page and it took long to read through everything. But the links were efficient and informative.And the product and shipping was expedient. IT was interesting that a shop clerk encouraged me to use the web as opposed to buying in person.

There was confusion about my credit card, which had already been approved by my bank. I called the number on the email I received, saying they needed further credit card information. The person I spoke with was difficult to understand; he finally said that I should call my bank and then call back with what they said. I did this, and the bank was as confused as I was, so I called back, was on hold for some time, and the man finally said they would see to it. This occurred over a period of two or three days, so the order was delayed. No complaints about the merchandise or the speed of delivery, once it was Oked.

IT TOOK A WEEK TO SHIP MY ORDER IF THEY EVEN SHIPPED IT. they asked for a conformation which I gave and a week later they asked for it again or they would cancell my order. No excuse for this kink of service, I had no number to call customer service.

Asked their customer service for at least 10 different times checking for the availability of a camera bag in BLUE color. Got confirmed and placed order. Then they shipped me the BLACK bag.
Asked for refund via email to customer service. Painful experience again that they are slow responding to refund request. I specified that they also need to refund my shipping cost as it's their mistake. But it turns out they didn't. Complained to their customer service again. Took a while then they now refunded my shipping cost.
SUPER painful experience with RitzCamera.com or Ritz Camera. Will spread out this word to all of the people whom I know!

They offered a special deal on the website that the stores were unable to match when I went there, even though the store had the product in stock. After ordering online, I was asked to make the confirmation phone call a second time before the order was processed, and this delayed the order until after the weekend. Also, the online tracking is nice, but it didn't give me the actual tracking number, and without that I couldn't sign up for FedEx email or SMS notification.

I live in Tanzania. I found Ritz camera on the internet. Found what we wanted with ease and rang up sales and spoke to Jim Pedersen. We had to get the order to an address in USA within 24 hrs. This was done!! Great service. Great follow up. Great products. Well done.

Ritz has the most EXCELLENT service! I called for order in the afternoon and it was delivered to another address as requested, the very next morning! WOW!
I worked for a major airline for 22 years and NEVER had these tupes of employees! Maybe if we did, it never would have filed bankrupcy! Well done, Ritz!!

There were a couple of surprises -- I had to phone in for some reason to verify my debit card information (they seemed to think it was a new card rather than one I've had for years) and there was a HUGE snafu with charging the card. They put an authorization hold, which the bank treats like a debit and which stays on the account for a week, then put through the actual charge, which meant that briefly my account had two HUGE charges on it and I was overdrawn by more than $1000. I tried the online customer service, which was staffed by someone whose English skills were marginal and who spent most of the time apologizing but doing nothing to correct the problem. They refused to give me a name of an actual person at the corporate offices whom I could phone the next day to clear up the problem. I complained to the photography school I attend, whose agreement with Ritz was the reason I'd done business with them to begin with, and the next day I received a call from someone in the corporate offices and we got the issue resolved. I still don't understand why I couldn't have gotten at least an extension number from the original customer service rep, unless perhaps he didn't understand the question.
If they're going to outsource customer service, you'd think they would at least do it in an English speaking country!
I still rate the experience positive overall because I got the goods in excellent condition precisely on time. I just gained a few gray hairs during the process.

It was absolutely wonderful. The best parts were no sales tax to pay and free shipping! I have recommeded shopping online to several people that were hesitant to do so. This camera was bought for my husband as a surprise anniversary gift. I can't wait for him to open the package and see the look on his face! Shopping with Ritz Camera is certainly a very bad experience.
I've contacted your online representative for at least 10 times (see the
attached for a sample of our conversation history) asking them to
confirm that you do have this bag in BLUE color before I place an order.
And I've emailed you guys right after I placed the order to make sure
again the bag is in BLUE color. And obviously you guys still replied
with a positive answer.
But the bag just came in BLACK!!!
I emailed them for refund. They promised to send me an email with pre-paid return shipping label within 24-48 hours. It took more than 3 days for me to receive the label.
I emailed them at least 2 times asking if they will refund me the product amount plus my shipping. They never directly answer.
Bad shopping experience with Ritz Camera. And same bad refund experience with Ritz Camera!
