Excellent service and perfect product!!

I just purchased a Samsung 52" LCD - LN52A750 from Butterfly Photo and received it last week. I received it on time as promised and 7 days from purchase. In fact they were able to deliver it a day early and called me to see if that was ok..(HECK YEAH IT WAS) The TV was in PERFECT shape and came a very long way to Georgia.. I received my 4 year warranty info in the mail 3 days before the TV arrived. Excellent customer service as well.. The point I'm trying to make is I HIGHLY recommend purchasing from them without worries. I paid about $100 more than other places but it was TOTALLY worth it to not have to deal with any problems..

Worst On Line Experience Ever

Really bad customer service. I was told that my product would ship out in 3 days and I waited 4 days until they finally told me that it was on back order. I spoke with them every day because they kept saying they would call me but never did. The people were rude and not customer service oriented. I only got one person that was nice to me out of the 5 different people I talked to. A week later I got fed up and just canceled the order. I could have gone with a different company and I would have already received my order! I would not recommend this company unless you have a lot of patience!

Delivery speed, order accuracy, and customer service were all top notch. Butterfly photo actually has a storefront in NJ, with real human beings that work at the store and answer the phone, etc. I called a few times before buying, just to make sure that what I was buying (Canon HV30) was in fact brand new, never opened, not refurbished, etc. Paid with Paypal, upgraded to expedited shipping (I like being able to track FedEx packages). Was worried about previous reviews I saw on this site and others with order mixups, problems returning, bait-and-switch tactics. I had NO problems like this. They did call and try to sell me a battery and UV filter, but I just said "no" and that was the end of it; they weren't pushy. No problem, I have no complaints about that, that's just what good salesmen do. It was nice to know they at least received my order and were working on it. Shipped it fast; received it 3 business days after placing the order.

I ordered a digital camera from Butterfly Photo because they offered free second day shipping. After four days I emailed them to see why I hadn't received it yet. They said they needed extra money for second day shipping, their ordering system had made an error. They would not live up to their commitment to me. So I canceled the order. That is their commitment to making customers happy...

There is much sleaze in this industry, but I didn't find it with DOD Marketing (DBA: Butterfly Photo). I received a call about 3 days after my order from Peter. He pitched an up-sell of a bigger battery for my camcorder and/or a "package" that was on "special". I declined and he thanked me for my business.

The camcorder arrived as expected in an adequately packed container with airbag padding. Was shipped 2nd Day Air (FEDEX)... which I didn't expect for the price.

All in all was a good experience, but I will always be vigilant when dealing with vendors in this sector.

One of the most frustrating shopping experience ever. Total apathy for customer service. I'm still awaiting the product to be shipped (3 weeks since it was placed). It took me 4 days, waiting each time for over 30 min to eventually get through someone in customer service. No communication and "i really dont care" attitude. Screw ups happen but I dont think "service recovery" exists in their dictionary. They only told me that my order was on back order after my repeated attempts to track down the status of the order. Infact at the time of order, sales team guaranteed shipment within a week.

Most horrible company ever. Long story short, they billed me for a video camera and did not ship it. When I called them (and waited on hold for 45 minutes every single time), they said they hadn't charged me and that my order was still processing. This went on for three weeks. I finally decided to take matters into my own hands. Thank God for American Express and their fraudulent charges division. This has been an 8 week nightmare and ONLY thanks to American Express was I able to get my $800 back.

Bad online merchant. Placed order for TV, had immediate debit from account. Was then contacted about shipping and warranty upgrades. Agreed to new price, which was immediately debited. Original purchase remained debited. Was told ( after the usual forever on hold), that original purchase would be removed. That was 1 week ago, still no removal. Numerous calls to Kerry ext 206 unanswered and not returned. Finally had to contact CC company to have debit removed.

They never shipped my order and had every reason under the sun why it was delayed. Mostly their inability to be honest. I canceled my order without hesitation. Wish I had come here first. I never would have ordered from them and recommend them to no one. Miserable on-line merchant.

I do a lot of shopping via the Internet and this company is by far the very worst I have dealt with. All of the details of my experience would take way to long to explain.

In summary, their order accuracy is terrible as with my original order, they sent me a replacement product without contacting me because the one I ordered was out of stock. I spoke with them and told them I didn't want it and shipped it back while requesting to send me the correct item. They then sent the exact same product that I didn't want again.

Customer service was the worst I think I have ever dealt with. I have now been dealing with them for about 4 months and it has not yet been completely resolved. They still owe me money. Perhaps the worst thing they did was charging my credit card on file a second time without my permission. They were fairly helpful on the phone but never followed through on what they promised. Buyer beware. I learned the hard way never to use an unauthorized dealer to save a few bucks, it's just not worth it!!!

Customer service? What customer service? I have spent over 30 minutes calling their 800 number this morning to purchase a Canon G9 camera and no one but the receptionist answers the phone. After waiting ceaselessly on hold, even the receptionist is not answering now. This type of on-line marketing gives the box stores a good name!

Extremely Un-satisfied! I ordered my camera on 12/14. I received an email letting me know there was a problem with the shipping address, which I quickly resolved. The camera was to ship in 2-3 business days. O0 12/20 I had to call them to find out what the delay was (X-mas gift??) and was told that they were out of stock, but a truck was coming in today. I gave it another day, and still no confirmation that it had been shipped. X-mas did not happen. I then received an email after the new year that it was indefinitely out of stock, (what happened to that truck?) and my credit card would be refunded. On January 12th, I had to call them to ask about my refund, and they told me it had been issued, I told them the charge was still there, they looked again, and said I was right, they would issue me a credit, in 2-3 business days. A month later and I might just get a refund on my credit card for a camera that was never delivered for Christmas!

I would not recommend this sight, and I will never shop here again!

Sony blue ray player arrived without the upc on side of box. it was cut out at butterfly. trying to get help is impossible. I live local to butterfly and they would not allow me to bring it back.It had to be shipped back.

salesman was pleasent at time of sale but turned into an ogre when I called him[Paul at ex 255]for help since customer service doesn't answer.I told him the problem but he just abruptly put me back on hold with the never answering customer service.

Grey Market products - No factory warranty

I bought a Onkyo TX-SR805 receiver and within a few months had to have it repaired. To my surprise Onkyo would not repair it since Butterfly Photo is NOT an authorized seller for them. I did get talked into an extended warranty. I did buy an extended warranty from them issued by Repair Tech. after 4 months I am still waiting for my receiver to be repaired. What I thought was a small savings has turned into a terrible experience and I would never buy from them again.
