Would not buy from them again

Full review

I purchased a PC case and power supply from TD. It was an "ok" value. But when I went back a few days after my purchase, the power supply has been discontinued. This particular PSU, while "ok", was not really state of the art and was bundled in with the case. I'm guessing that this product was at end of life and TD was just clearing out their warehouse.

The purchase transaction when buying on the TD web site was scary to say the least. TD is in bed with the worst of the scammers and marketing info harvesting creeps. You are assaulted with pop-ups and numerous attempts to trick you into clicking a link so that TD can generate even more income.

The whole "look and feel" of TD is sleazy... I worry who is getting my credit card info, e-mail address and all the rest of the info I had to provide to make my purchase.

I bought most of the stuff for this PC build from Newegg and there was none of that sleazy stuff there.

In retrospect, I don't think I received the same quality from TD that I did from Newegg. I think that TD probably deals in grey market, end of life, refurb and damaged stuff. Which would be fine if there were BIG savings (there aren't) or if they at least were honest about what you would be getting (they aren't).

To be fair, while the PSU is not equivalent to what I could have gotten elsewhere, it works fine in my application. Ditto for the case. So I am fairly satisfied with the transaction... just not with the way that TD does business.
