I have ordered a number of times from Tiger Direct since I discovered them early last year. Initially I ordered a new Ultra mid-tower case and some Crucial brand DDR memory which they packed and shipped out by that evening. It arrived 2 days later via UPS and I’ve been a satisfied TD customer ever since.

Well laid out, easy to find everything through an intelligent cataloging system. Fortunately they seem to stay quite extremely well stocked and usually ship the same day you order in my experience. The shopping cart and online ordering system are very logical and easy to use and I’ve encountered no problems ordering online. I always receive an email confirmation of my order immediately. When the order ships, they send me the tracking number(s) by that evening.

Selection
Amazingly complete. They seem to have nearly everything a computer geek could want. Example: 13+ brands of DDR memory, 14+ brands of motherboards, and 20+ brands of mid-tower ATX cases. Very impressive and 95% of everything always seems to be in-stock when I’m ready to buy.

Price
I consider other competitors a relatively “high-end” dealer, meaning the service and selection are great, but you typically have to pay a premium for this level of service. Not at Tiger. Most prices are quite competitive, in fact in some cases they are even lower than the el-cheapo suppliers I’ve grown accustomed to putting up with. As a result TD now gets over 80% of my computer hardware and digital camera accessory business.

Shipping
Tiger uses UPS shipping only but they have many free or low price shipping specials each week, which takes just 3 or 4 days in my experience. Even when I’ve paid for 2nd day UPS (my usual preference), the shipping fees have been quite realistic, unlike so many online businesses which inflate shipping and handling costs until your “great deal” isn’t so great after all.

Service
Top-notch. More often than not my orders were packed and shipped the same day. I’ve ordered from Tiger Direct 4 times now and never had a single problem. TD gets my 100% recommendation for perfect performance to date. Everyone else take note - this is how you do business on-line!
