Was shipped an outdated product -- tried to call customer service to correct problem on two separate occasions and no one answered the phone at cutomer service.There was no option to leave a message. Called back and selected sales and no one answered and all voicemail boxes were full -- outrageous incompetence.

This is a joke of a store. I ordered an LCD monitor at night using a credit card and everything verified fine. I assumed that everything was fine until I get an email at 5pm the next day saying the card address didn't match one on file. After having them try another address they told me I needed to contact my bank. The one good thing about this retailer was that they cancelled my order quickly. I immediately ordered the same item through tigerdirect using the same card and address and the monitor is being picked in their warehouse only 10 minutes after my order. Bottom line is - yes you can save $20 on larger items shopping at these rinky-dink e-tailers, but is the time and hassle really worth it?

Very Very unsatisfactory

This is the worst experience I've had. Paid $68.00 for a logitech wireless headset and $28,00 for 2nd day delivery. my money was taken from the bank(debit card) on Feb. 5th and today is the 9th of Feb and I still haven't received my order which was placed on Feb. 02

Very Dissatisfied

order arrived on time but the sales staff has been completely useless! They overcharge for shipping a package of that weight and size should cost no more than $15.00 in shipping via UPS or Fedex Ground and they charged almost $40.00 they nickle and dime you on the shipping. I called to have the someone verify that they were overcharging and their answer from the sales manager was I don't know I just work here. That is a great response coming from a manager. I left a message over two weeks ago with the General manager regarding this issue and I am still waiting for a call back I am going to presume that he just doesn't care about his customers satisfaction. I encourage people to consider other options when purchasing from Tech-on Web

Poor

TechOnWeb had many very good reveiws. I did know I would be charged a restocking fee if I did not want the product. I was sure I wanted it. I did not realize that I would be stuck paying to return a heavy product if it arrived dead on arrival. I paid $30 to have it shipped to me. Now I have to take it to the shipper and pay to have it shipped back to them. They also want me to " please do not write on manufacturer boxes. All products must be complete, including all components, accessories, cables, software, and manuals." So I wonder if it gets shipped out again! Since I ordger paper and it came separately, and it is not defective I am stuck with it.

The service was good. no complaints. delivery was as promised. I did however, order the wrong part by mistake. To my chagrin, I was penalized about $21 for my mistake by the restocking man (even though i left the packaging sealed). One thing to remember, when ordering on-line know what you need or suffer the consequences.

Do not trust their "in stock" information

I had ordered from TechOnWeb an item which they shown in stock (several items were shown; I specifically was looking for a seller with stock, since it was needed ASAP).

I cancelled the order after ~40 days of wait, leaving voice mail requesting status (I was not able to get a live person), given several different ETAs, exchanging number of emails with TechOnWeb rep ("we are doing nothing wrong"). All that time their website showed the item as "Stocked".
<br>
Would not buy from them again.

Extraordinary Carelessness in Handling Orders

I ordered a CISCO License from TechOnWeb. I called every four days (seems like a reasonable interview) to try and find out what was happening with my order. After TWELVE (12) days I finally was told that my license order (which enables some fairly necessary functionality on my Cisco firewall) had just been "sitting in the queue" and that the responsible party had not done anything with it."

I understand that mistakes happen, but if it hadn't taken 12 days to get an order status the problem would have been resolved in time.

I received memory that was unsealed in a box that had the mfg. label torn off and the memory ended up being defective. They denied selling used parts & first referred me to the mfg., and then provided an RMA#. I strongly advise potential customers to read their extremely restrictive return policy, I do not recommend them.

I ordered a Celestix One FV100 firewall listed on their website, they billed my Visa account but they were not authorized to sell this equipment. Why was it then listed on their website! By the time they refunded the purchase, the Canadian exchange rate fluctuated and it ended costing me about $20 for something I never received!

Ordered a 50 Pack of Maxell DVD-R discs and when they arrived the seal had been broken and the discs were strewn all over the box. I returned the discs and the gentleman I spoke to promised me he would send another 50 Pack via 2nd day Fed Ex. Well, that hasn't happened and after he wouldn't return my E-Mails requesting a tracking number, I found out by phoning another C.S. rep that the 2nd shipment was sent via Fed Ex ground. All in all, a horrible experience. No doubt in my mind that the seal was broken on the cakebox PRIOR to shipping.

Avoid these incompetents!

Awful service: I needed 2 specific types of headset for Monday 11/13/06 and had my admin call to verify that they had a certain type of connector. First indication of incompetence: people saying they couldn't help her, and then finally telling her yes it was the item needed. Of course, when we received them, it was immediately obvious they were the wrong connectors, therefore useless. They wouldn't provide immediate relief nor would they acknolwdege that they'd given us the wrong information. For a return they have to email us an RA #, which takes 2-3 days, at that point, shipping instructions will be provided. In the meantime, I've ordered from CDW, who provided price matching and overnight delivery and invoicing. TechOnWeb: You act like a real business, but you have no concept of customer service. You suck!

Was informed by merchant only after making email inquiry more than a week after placing order, that item was out of stock. Merchant _did_ refund credit card charge a week later. Good merchants don't charge a card until they ship.

I placed an order for a Brother printer memory (KTB-HL100/128, invoice #: 199917) on 2/18/2004. Today (3-2-2004) I still have not received the merchandise, nor have I received any notification from the vendor. I called two times. The firs time (about five days ago), I was told that the item was in the warehouse. The second time (today), the agent could not find any further information, but promised he would do his best to find out tomorrow.

Inefficient Customer Service

Ordering was simple. Delivery speed was excellent. The price was very competitive. However, the product, an Axis 207W network camera, was defective and my subsequent interactions with customer service at TechOnWeb were deeply dissatisfying. When I called for an RMA the person at Customer Service abruptly transferred me (without even letting me finish my explanation) to a voicemail box. I left a message which was not returned. Subsequent multiple attempts to contact this merchant through phone, email, and fax have resulted in no response. To me this seems like a well designed strategy to avoid dealing with post-sales issues. I'm still stuck with a defective product. I won't deal with them again.

I was finally contacted by someone from this company. Resolution appears to be way largely because I was redirected to Axis who were prompt in arranging a replacement to be shipped out. In order to be fair, I would say that Techonweb is good on price and ordering but customer service is unacceptably slow.
