Prices are outrageous and the price match policy is a sham!
Full review Ritz Camera has horrible prices; they charge as much as $100 more than their online competitors. They claim to price match, but only if the item is "in stock". Well, I have been watching a flash for months and it is never in stock - unless you go to the physical store. So I went to the store, but here is the catch, they won't price match unless the item is carried by a local competitor (and there aren't any other camera stores around here except, you guessed it, Ritz Camera). I went back to the online store to ask them to get the flash from their own physical stores and they told me that they are two separate companies that are not related at all (except they have the same name), and they could not get the flash. After this experience I started looking around. There was a lens that I was interested in, but it was listed for $15 more than Pentax's suggested retail price. Of course, I picked another retailer to buy my flash from, but don't advertise that you price match if you don't...or better yet, just make your prices competitive. I used to be a loyal Ritz customer, now I won't even get my pictures developed there. |
