online said that my product was in stock. it wasnt until after i ordered they told be it wasnt. i needed this for christmas if i had known it was not in stock i wouldve taken other measures now i have no choice but to wait that is very unacceptable!! I will not recommend pc nation to anyone !!!

Since ordering, I have not received a conformation from the PC Nation, or any other correspondence from them. My guess is that it was not in stock, even though they indicated it was. If that is the case, this will be the third time I've ordered from them where the product was suppose to be in stock and it wasn't. Each time it took months before it was ever sent. Their site now states that it will take over 2 weeks for delivery because it is backordered.

They wanted to ask some security questions so I can use my credit card, but I don't have history or something and it didn't work. I've ordered plenty of items via Amazon.com and found this tedious, annoying, and unnecessary. I cancelled my order with PCNation and ordered it from Amazon.com. It's stupid if I've ordered things with the credit card before -- of course it's mine!

I found the EXACT same Brother Printer MFC-5440cn at Office Max while the package was enroute however, I just didn't want the hazzle and worry that stems from stop shippments, coordinating and making certain the credit it applied back on my card etc..etc.. I used this site for the best price and got "schupted". You owe me $20.00 and the worry free convience of should I have a problem, being able to return of the merchandise is easily.

Order process on line went smooth. Received confirmation of receipt of order. Received 2nd email later that product was out of stock. Followed directions to cancel order. Did not receive confirmation of cancelled order for 24hrs.

when I ordered, PC Nation told me the merchandise was in stock. After I paid, they told me it would be two weeks until the order could be filled. They gave me a tracking number that didn't work.

I ordered printer and my visa was charged total amount and company kept sending e-mails asking me to call them and verify my home address. They said it didn't match what was on file with the credit card company. I called 3 separate times and the address was exactly the same as what the bank has on file. After 4 days of playing their silly games which was some sort of stall tactic i cancelled the order. I wouldn't do business with this company if they were giving merchandise away and all i had to do was pay the shipping.

They sold me the scanner. After more than a month of delay, it arrived without cords or drivers. When contacted, they insisted that I contact the manufacturer to purchase these items separately. It was EXTREMELY poor service.

I purchased a cordless headset for my phone. PCNation's website stated it was compatable with my phone. It was not. Added on to the price is a $15.00 "handling fee". Since I cannot use the headset, it must be returned. After three calls over three days, I finally got a return of merchandise authorization number and was informed that a $30.00 "restocking fee" will be deducted from my refund. Don't bother with these inexplicable fees and shop with someone reputable.

I submitted my order online and an hour later received an email telling me to contact their customer service department. The customer service department was closed at the time. I called anyway and they told me that their security department wanted to talk to me in the morning. I called the next day and they said that their security department doesn't speak to customers directly; the person on the phone asked for an email address that wasn't a "yahoo account". I told them that a "yahoo" account works for everyone under the sun except for them. PC Nation's reply was "our tight security keeps our prices the lowest around". I gave them a work address and they checked to see that we had a webpage while I was still on the phone. Problem resolved, I thought. A few hours later I received another email asking me to contact them again. Apparently this time they were confused about my billing address being different from my shipping address; they wanted to verify this by contacting my credit card company. I told them to go ahead, but asked why they have a problem with separate addresses when their competitors don't. Again, they said "our tight security keeps our prices the lowest around". Later PC Nation sent me another email telling me to contact them. This time they said that my credit card company would verify my shipping address via fax and the security department wasn't willing to do that so they wanted another credit card. I promptly told them to cancel my order and explained to them that they shouldn't be in business. The guy on the phone said, "our tight security keeps our prices the lowest around". Well, apparently Amazon isn't familiar with their rule and I ordered through them for a lower price :)

This outfit is totally worthless. I ordered the product which, in itself, was a hassle. About a week after placing the order I received an email demanding that I phone them due to some unmentioned "problem." I replied that I live in Vietnam and a phone call to their 800 number is impossible, but I'd try if they would furnish me with a normal non-WATS phone number. They never did, but continued to insist that I phone them. I explained again that I am unable to phone the number they are giving me, and I gave them my Vietnam phone number, which they have not called. They never attempted to debit the card I gave them and have never even hinted what the big problem is. At this point they are not answering my inquiries and I have no idea whether they ever intend to fill this order. Apparently, this company has a big problem with coherent communication.

Site indicated product would ship out the same day. After the order status still showed "verifying credit card" by almost 5PM, I called them. They said that my email address -- which I have had since 1996 -- didn't "look" official, and they are really careful about credit cards. It's not a yahoo/gmail type address either. They asked me what my domain was for, and I told them that I run my own mail server there. They said that wasn't good enough and needed something more official. I asked if they would have accepted that address had I lied about it, and they apologized that they would have.
I gave them a different address, which "sounded" better. They were going to send me a validation link right away, but didn't until about an hour later -- too late for my item to ship out that day. So I ordered from Newegg and canceled my pcnation order. They never would have called me about this, either; I had to call them or else I would have never found out about the problem.
Would not shop there again, ever. This practice is useless from a security perspective and seems very highly suspicious to me as well.

BAD BAD BAD - don't expect speedy delivery to CA

Beware of shipments to California. PCNation won't ship directly and instead charges a Warehouse Delivery charge to transfer the item from one location to another. And then ships, eventually. I ordered an in stock item with 'free' 3 day delivery and it will be 10 days before it arrives, if it arrives.

Terrible - I ordered two cameras on 12/12. One came, one did not. On 12/20 I called to inquire about the second and was told it was on backorder and would not get to me in time for the holidays. Bad enough? I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they were all too busy to speak to a customer

Hidden return charges and policies

Good website, easy to navigate and purchase. Good information about a wide variety of products. Immediate email confirmation of purchase. Prompt delivery. BUT BEWARE::: PC Nation has a VERY restrictive return policy which, unfortunately, you won't learn about until AFTER you order. If you are not ABSOLUTELY SURE you want what you are ordering and that it will be compatible with your needs, DO NOT ORDER IT HERE.
