Dell Online Shopping is Easy

Pros–Shopping online is easy, simple, and not stressful. You can see the merchandise you are ordering. Great promotional discounts. Good Products, and lots to choose from.

Cons–Always read the fine print of everything you order. When ordering on the phone, make sure you can understand the person on the other end. Otherwise you will spend more than you want to spend.

Bottom Line– I like shopping online for Dell Products. I will continue to buy Dell products as long as Dell products will be around.

I am on my second Dell computer system. I have had a Desktop, and have downsized to a laptop and loving it. I purchased my new laptop and a 10.1 megapixel digital camera on July 31, 2006. I found the laptop and camera in one of the Dell Magazines, I received in the mail. In order to get the full promotional discount, I had to have the order placed before the due date, which was a couple of days before July 31, 2006. I placed the order, and it was so easy. By placing the order on line, I saved $200 on the laptop with the promotional code, and received a nice Swiss Gear backpack for free. There was no promotional discounts for my digital camera that I bought, but I did receive free shipping and handling on both products, which saved some money. I received email confirmation with a confirmation number and other information, right after I was done placing my orders online. I was even able to print out a order summary, of my items, with the total amounts of the items and what discounts I had received. From the day I ordered these items, I received email confirmation of order summary, order description, the date my order was received, Acknowledged, Confirmed, Shipped, and when it was delivered. The confirmation notices would let me know which company would be shipping it to me. I received my laptop on and camera in great condition about five days from the date that I ordered it.

If you have any questions, you can go on line and chat with a Dell sales expert between 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. CST. When you have problems you can also call on the telephone, and they are most generally able to help with any questions. When you need a part, that is not working right or you need to download a program on line from Dell, they can help you out. They can send the link for the program right to your email address with simple and easy instructions on how to download.

I have had to order things on the telephone from Dell computers, and sometimes it is a lot easier then other times. I have placed orders for a portable 3.5 floppy disk drive, Compact Flash card (Which I found out later runs my entire digital camera, without it my camera was worthless), an All-in-One inkjet printer, two color and two black ink toners, and will order a skin it design (On Line) only purchases to try and prevent scratches on the top of my laptop. I received free shipping and handling on two of these items, and had to pay shipping and handling on one which was a rush order. Always read the very fine print about things. Ex. Compact Flash card ( $177), as of 4/25/07 Compact Flash card ($49). Always be on the look out for promotional discounts.

Dell has a great recycling program going on that I didn’t even know about. When I ordered my new printer, there was really easy instructions on how to recycle your old printer. You just went on line, followed the instructions they gave you and print out a receipt, put the old printer in the box that the new printer came in tape the box up good and tight and attach the receipt that you printed out, and make arrangements with DHL pickup and delivery company to pick up your recycled printer and deliver it for. The last I knew DHL company didn’t charge for pickup and delivery. Which is very helpful. Dell recycling program is a great way to dispose of the printers properly.

I have enjoyed my purchases from Dell.com, and when I have needed help with something or had questions pertaining to my bill, not all of the customer service reps, on Dell.com’s end have been nice and helpful, but the ones you can understand a little easier have been helpful and nice.
