Buy from them if they have a really good price, but not otherwise.
Full review I bought from CompUSA because they had the best price, but that's all I can say they have going for them. The unit arrived later than I expected. It took over a week and I paid for 2-day shipping. Their web site was never up to date in tracking the order. I received the unit before the site said it shipped out. The site did not give me a tracking number, even though I had paid for FedEx 2-day shipping. When I phoned customer service, they said they weren't allowed to give out tracking numbers over the phone. For "security reasons". This is one of the craziest things I've ever heard. Between this and the web site, I could not track the package after their customer service people said it shipped. Their server never sent me e-mail confirmation of the order. In summary, I found my product, ordered it, paid a good price and received it. But I was kept completely in the dark regarding the status of this order until I actually received it, and the extra fee for 2-day shipping was completely wasted. None of these are showstoppers that would make me steer people away from them, but they are annoying enough that they will only get my business in the future if they have a price significantly better than everybody else (which was the case this time - their price was $50 less than everybody else's) |
