I was very disappointed with the packaging. All they did was slap a shipping label on the manufacturers box. The item I ordered is not one that should be subjected to hard movement or jolts, and by the look of the box, it was. I would have liked to have seen them put the manufacturers box inside a bigger box with some padding.

My only problem was that somehow my order was filled twice (once with a discount I was using and once without). It took two phone calls to Customer Service to determine how to handle the situation. The first rep told me that tracking info would be available, which I doubted since it had be sent USPS Media Mail. The second rep was able to get me an invoice number (which was needed since the order number did not appear on the mailing label). With that info, I was able to reject the shipment processed without the discount. I did receive an email that they had received the shipment back and had credited my account, so all turned out fine.

I'm a frequent customer. As long as I know what I am looking form, Buy.com is one of my main sources. I won't shop it blind, though -- it'as product descriptions are generally way too sketchy.

I have never allowed the site to record my credit card information during my first purchase with Buy.com but not only did they record it, but they automatically made my recent purchase with the former credit card/mailing address after I logged in. In my opinion, this is a very insecure website. If anyone should happen to know my password, he/she could easily commit fraud and make purchases without my consent. Becareful when you buy from this site.

The item was shipped on 4/1/05, and received on 4/11/05. During this period, there was no way to track shipment. I think this can be done better.

Once I received the item the packing list made no mention of the replacement plan I had also purchased. It was a little difficult to find the right people at Buy.com to get the info, but once I contacted the Warranty department they were helpful.
