HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

DO NOT ORDER FROM BUY.COM! TAKE YOUR MONEY TO AMAZON! They will not tell you if an item is not in stock but they will let you purchase it and they will not email you a eta for delivery and then when you try to cancel the order because it has been over a week since ordered and not shipped, they tell you to go ask the place where they are getting it from. I will not get this gift in time for Christmas and now I can't cancel my order through the company. Terrible customer service and not worth the hassle. Don't waste your time or money with this company.

No Customer Service - Stay Away

Buy.com's website is not up to date, meaning it shows items it does not have in stock as being in stock. Once you order one of these out of stock items buy.com makes it difficult or impossible to cancel an order. Just try to find an actual customer service number on buy.com's web site - the fact that there isn't one should tell you something - STAY AWAY.

I ordered a new Logitech VX laser notebook mouse on Cyber Monday 2007 from Buy.com for $59.99 What I got is not a brand new mouse I ordered. They shipped me a used mouse. The box has evidence that it has been opened and the mouse has scratches at the bottom and on both sides. I got the RMA # from Buy.com and asked for a replacement. One week later, they shipped me the exact mouse which I returned to them but this time it came in a different box. I just want everyone to beware of the sell practices of Buy.com and never buy from them ever again. Someone please take action against this company.

A nightmare if you should need help from customer service!

Buy.com has a lot of good deals, but the customer service is terrible, practically none. This online store works very good for if you have a Paypal account and satisfied with your purchase. But if you're new to Buy.com, beware of their checkout process. It is so confusing and difficult to use because the payment process has to go through Paypal.com. If you should have any problems with a transaction, this is where the nightmare begins. From my experience, I had to wait more than an hour before someone answered the phone. The 800 customer service phone number on their website will connect you to someone in the Philippines. The language barrier and they sounded lack of experience made it impossible for me to resolve an simple issue regarding a simple transaction. They could not answer my questions and would not connect me to someone in the United States. Out of frustration, I ended up cancelling my order.

GO TO Best Buy and pay extra to avoid buy.com's customer service headache

I purchased the Slingbox Pro and HD Connect Cable Bundle from buy.com. I received the package with the 'order complete' receipt in it; however, the only thing in the box was the cable, no Slingbox (the main part!). So I spent $200 and never recieved the $200 box. I was on hold with Customer service for 2.5 hours till I decided to just return it instead of file a claim (because they said if I filed a claim, no garuntee to get a replacement by X-mas and getting in touch with them again would be another migraine to the list). And all of these claims and return processing takes over a week, so I am not even sure if I will get the money returned in time to go to Best Buy before Xmas to replace my Mom's missing present. In conclusion, just go to Best Buy or Circuit City and pay the extra so you can avoid the headache and stress.

Run..don't walk from Buy.com. They are a very dishonest company. They show items in stock on the website, take your order and money immediately and then don't ship the item because they don't have it. Any attempt to get your money back is like banging your head against a wall.

Awful experience-beware

Horrible customer service. Tried to cancel late Sunday night order early next morning. On the phone over 50 minutes waiting for representative to help cancel order. Order not cancelled because I was told later that it had already been shipped, but could refuse to accept when delivered and therefore would not have to pay shipping to return item. I thought of course this meant a signature would be required, so I would have the opportunity to refuse delivery. Bottom line is they did not want me to cancel, so they make it difficult to cancel. They do not care about customer satisfaction. companies like this discourage people from buying online. If transaction runs into a problem, your are in trouble. I learned my lesson, I'll never buy from them again. It is not worth the hassle.

Do not buy from BUY.COM!! I ordered this video card on the night of the 26th with express two day shipping so it would arrive around the same time the other items I purchased from newegg.com would. I ordered 12 items from newegg.com on the same night with the standard free 3 day shipping, the order was received by newegg on the 27th and they arrived at my house on the 28th! WHERE IS MY ITEM FROM BUY.COM???? OH what order?? Oh that order, it isn’t late (they told me) because budget shipping would make it arrive on the 1st of December, I SPECIFICALLY SAID IN ALL SIX OF MY E-MAILS THAT I HAVE EXPRESS 2 DAY SHIPPING AND I INCLUDED MY RECEIPT AND I REPEATEDLY ASKED TO BE CALLED ON THE PHONE, NO CALLS JUST AUTO REPLY E-MAILS TELLING ME I WAS WRONG. I will never buy from buy.com again. Be VERY careful when you place an order with these people when they advertise free shipping. It defaults to pay shipping and if you click too fast, you won't realize it until the order is submitted. Then try and get a hold of anyone at this company. It is impossible. I tried to cancel this order within a minute or two of clicking submit. I sent many e-mail, and called. When I finally got a hold of someone the next day they talked me into not canceling the order and said the would refund the shipping. Now they refuse to do so. NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY!!

I have ordered and received at least a dozen items from buy.com. Delivery speed and order accuracy have been outstanding. I have one complaint. Many items I've ordered have included mail-in rebates. I've received the rebate checks on all but one of these. The one missing rebate was for $50. The long and short of this story is that when I contacted buy.com about this rebate they informed me that the company offering the product and rebate was not responding to their inquiries. buy.com offered me a $10 gift certificate on a future purchase from buy.com.

I feel that buy.com should have provided me with the full $50. It should be their responsibility to live up to the rebate offers stated in their e-mail solicitations.

I ordered something and then decided i wanted to cancel. Don't let this happen to you. Make absolutely sure before you hit the button because you are on your own at that point. I was on hold for 39 minutes before someone answered and they told me they had no record of the two electronic attempts i made to cancel... and had no interest or alarm related to seeing if it was a global issue.

Bottom line, I will never buy anything form these folks. I recommend you avoid them as well.
