I've bought about 10 different items from buy.com. Every single item had the lowest price (from http://www.shopper.com). At first I was a little skeptical of their low prices, but now I'm a loyal customer. Add to this the new price war with Amazon.com and you can't lose!

Buy.com's website is easy to navigate. It feels a lot like Amazon.com with less polish. It has tabs on the top for each of their departments. Their selections include electronics, computers, books, music and DVD among others. It shows if the item is in stock and when it will ship.

If you want a lot of customer reviews Amazon is the place to go. Buy.com has a customer review area but its not nearly as complete. Their product information is straight from the manufacturer as well. Amazon clearly outshines in reviews and information.

I did have a problem with is finding certain items. For example, I bought a Nomad IIc 128mb player from them. It's not listed under MP3 Players nor Creative. However, if you search for "Nomad" you can find it.

Their ordering system is easy to use. As with most other sites you have to register with an email address and password. I don't mind this as it saves time inputting all of the info again and again. It's not as slick as Amazon.com but it works well.

Back when I first began ordering from buy.com their shipping prices were very high. This was o.k. since their products were incredibly cheap. Now they're offering free shipping on most orders over $49.00.

Their prices have been excellent! The Nomad IIc I bought was only $128.95, by far the cheapest price around (40 bucks off list price). If you do find a lower price they'll match it too, but you must buy it first.

The low prices really don't matter unless you get the product in a timely fashion. I've had nothing but positives on the shipping front. I ordered my Nomad IIc on a Friday and it arrived Tuesday via Standard (Free) Shipping. Every time I've ordered it's take one week or less for the products to arrive. You can also track products from their website via UPS link. It's fairly accurate.

One thing I absolutely love about buy.com is their returns for defective merchandise. You simply log in and click the "return" button from your order. It automatically prints out a prepaid UPS label with the return # included. It was quite a surprise and I don't even think Amazon offers this option. I was very impressed.

Again, I've had nothing but positives from buy.com. Excellent prices, fast shipping and a navigable website make them a great place to shop. My only concern is the viability of such a business - I'm not sure how they can remain in business for so long fighting it out with Amazon.
