Attempted to purchase a Weber Gas Grill totaling nearly $900.

Item showed in stock at time of purchase. This was a corporate purchase, so we mailed a check. Buy.com cashed it, then sent notice that item was out of stock. Waited three months before asking for check to be returned because I new it would be a pain in the neck. Cancelled order, was told check would be sent within 5 to 10 days. After 3 months and several hour-long waits on hold waiting to talk to customer service, I still have not received the check.

BUY.com's customer service is located only in the Philipines and/or India, and no one there has any authority to give any detailed information about problems, or to attempt to resolve anything.

No one in customer service can do anything but escalate problems via email, after which you'll receive an acknowledgment that they're working on it, but then you never hear back from them.

Finally was able to get Buy.com's corporate phone number on another site full of complaints about Buy.com. Receptionist answers phone, but you can only get through to voice mails. Still working to get my cash back, but I will never, ever buy from Buy.com again and I will now look for any way possible to post notes like this (which I have never done before).
