DON'T BUY.COM
Full review Buy.com is a simple to navigate online shopping megastore. The prices are great, if you get the item you ordered. WEBSITE This internet store sells electronics, books, DVD's, cameras, luggage and toys, amongst many other items. The site is simple to navigate, either choose category or do a search. The prices seem to be about average to great, depending on what you are ordering. Check out is simple, about standard from an online merchant. They accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Government Credit Card, Revolution Card and Paypal. Delivery of this item was in three days. MY EXPERIENCE I made my first purchase with this company just recently, and I had ordered several items. My order was being broken up into several shipments, as I was notified by email. Wow, I was impressed, I thought, they were just like Amazon.com. Oh, boy, was I wrong!!!! I received two wrong items, instead of a game I had ordered. I went online to look up their phone number, apparently that was not listed on the website. If you Google, Buy.com, there are listings for telephone numbers that are no longer in service, but with my persistence, I found the elusive Buy.com customer service number 1-(800)-800-0800. After I contacted customer service, I was told I should have notified the manufacturer. I told the woman that I purchased the item from Buy.com, why would I ship it to the manufacturer? The incorrect item sent, was from a different manufacturer. She told me that it is a drop-ship company, didn't I know that? Well, in fact, no, I didn't, nor did it list anywhere on the website that a consumer could identify. I need this item 7 days before Christmas, and they told me that they would have to process my return first. I would not receive the correct item in time. I explained that this was not my error, it was theirs, but they would not accommodate my needs. I contacted my credit card and told them of this fiasco and am disputing this purchase. I have decided to order this game from Amazon.com and delivery is expected on December 17th. BOTTOM LINE I am awaiting one more package from Buy.com and will deal with it accordingly, if the item is once again, incorrect. I do not recommend this website at all. FURTHERMORE Buy.com said they would send me a return shipping label, in an email which I did not receive. I only received an RMA number for return. After a 47 minute hold, a representative was available to discuss this matter. When she asked if there would be anything else, I asked when my final parcel would be delivered. She informed me that it was delivered to me yesterday. Well, I did not receive that item as well. Again, I'll be calling my credit card company and file another dispute. I would never, ever recommend this store for anything. Thank you for reading my review. |
