After comparing prices and trying to locate a seller for refrigerator water filter for my LG fridge I found buy.com. I have never purchased anything from them before. I signed up and ordered the filter from them. On the website it said if you were a new customer and checked out thru the google checkout you would receive a $10 instant coupon off the price of your purchase.
Now I have signed up before for google and purchased 1 other time thru the google checkout but not at buy.com.
After processing my order and charging my C.C I was told that I did not qualify because I was not a new google checkout user.

My purchase was processed and charged to my C.C on Nov 19th. And shipping was stated as 3-5 business days. On Nov 21 I receive an email stating important notice of delay regarding your order.

The message reads as follows
We apologize for the delay in the shipment of your order.
Item #------- has been delayed in the fulfillment process. We do not yet have an estimated shipping date. However, you will receive a shipping confirmation email as soon as your order ships.
Nov 29 I get a response from my emails to them inquiring where my shipment is stating, hi your order is on its way. But still no reason as to why the delay or what that means. Repeated emails to them still do not answer my questions. Now when I check the expected delivery time is Dec 5th. Given them the benefit of the doubt with the 2 days off for Thanksgiving and not counting Saturdays I am looking at 10 business days for a water filter.

Update 12/8/07.
Received water filter on 12/05/07
I still have not received an answer as to why item was delayed. I keep getting the same standardized answers. In fact the last time I asked them again was on 12/02/07. As per their website they send a generic response stating they will answer questions within 10 hrs. Well I received an answer from them on 12/06/07 and all they stated was records show item was delivered by ups. Still no answer to my question. This was the first and last time I purchase from them.
I will continue to purchase my online items from my usual sources, amazon.com, newegg.com and eBay. Never again from buy.com, in fact their emails have just been added to the spam folders so I will not get any more sales emails from them.
