Very good shopping experience

Full review

I always have a positive experience shopping at Amazon.com for these reasons: Great choices, Service, and Sale Confirmation. The prices aren’t the best but the selection is very good. The Wish List updates are sent to your e-mail inbox with best pricing.

This site is basically a broad base of consumer products that are available at a very good price and delivered through direct delivery.

I purchased the new edition of "A Hard Days Night" with the added features disc including great interviews with George Martin and Richard Lester, actors Anna Quale, Jeremy Lloyd, and Terry Hooper, and producers Dennis O'Dell and David Picker.

The great two-disc DVD also has the complete screenplay, "Remember All the Little Things, a Hard Day's Night scrapbook, and discussions from all the cast and crew. I paid a really good price for it and it was delivered when they promised.

I also purchased "All of Me", a fluffy upscale documentary on Farrah Fawcett – and this is a rare glimpse of the actress from Charlie’s Angels. The Video shows the savvy side of the women, very aware of her image and its value to the male gaze. She is also seen as very much in charge of the forces that drive her career.

I purchased the video for a little too much money, but the insight into the woman’s personality is worth it. The video does have its edge of cheese cake appeal but after viewing it in its entirety one can see how other exploitive forces like Playboy Magazine at times prey on the high profile of female personalities.

When I shop I login at a secure point with name and pass word. When I buy they immediately e-mail a purchase order to my inbox, and ask if I need to track the item that I have ordered.

A tab titled ‘spelvini’s account’ allows me to see what I have ordered, what’s in transit, and what’s on my wish list.

I recommend Amazon very highly the next time you are looking for an item and want it delivered to your door, and don't mind close to the retail price. They generally have 10% to 20% discounts on popular items, but it’s best for you to noodle around on the site to see if what you want it available.

They always follow up and delivered on the day they quote. I’m sure this may change during the busy shopping season at the end of the year. It’s best to buy something and see how it appeals to you.

One good feature is the Wish List.

The wish list gives information like this:
Myra Breckinridge
DVD ~ John Huston
Average Customer Review:
In Stock
Release Date: March 9, 2004

Our Price: $12.99   Used & new from $7.95

Then allows you to choose options: I Own It; or Not interested.

And why it happens to be on your wish list, or to remind you the connection to your choices: Recommended because you purchased Playboy / Farrah Fawcett: All of Me (edit).

I have a huge wish list with movies like The Panic in Needle Park, Hangmen Also Die, and The Maltese Falcon (Three-Disc Special Edition), Citizen Kane, Sin City, Where the Sidewalk Ends, To Have and Have Not, In a Lonely Place, Blind Date, House By the River, Goodfellas (Two-Disc Special Edition), The Two Jakes, Norma Jean and Marilyn; CDs like Suite for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio, Vol. 2; and books like How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie. I’ll get around to ordering them eventually and Amazon reminds me to do so.

Try Amazon. You’ll soon make it a regular stop on your surf loop.
