Not Reliable
Full review The first problem happened when I tried to take advantage of the $30 credit for applying for an amazon.com credit card. After I filled out the application at Bank One, there is a link that is supposed to send you back to Amazon.com to make your purchase and immediately use the $30 credit. The link didn't work. When I wrote customer service, they sent a discount code to be used ON A FUTURE PURCHASE. I had to write back and tell them that was not acceptable and that I wanted it applied to the purchase I made the day I applied for the card. They did reply that they would apply the credit to that purchase. My major problem with this is that they know that link doesn't work. A co-worker had the exact same experience two weeks before I did. Is this an intentional strategy to get you to make a future purchase? I wonder. Second problem. I ordered on Sept. 22 and selected free shipping...which means you agree to have the item shipped 3 to 5 days later than normal. Eight days later, on October 1 (when the item should be in-transit), I got an e-mail from Amazon saying the item would not ship until October 23 to arrive the 27th or 28th. I canceled the order. I was not interested in waiting 5 weeks for delivery. Note: the amazon website still shows this item as "Usually ships within 2 to 3 days." I would not recommend ordering from them unless time is not a factor. |
