The item in question was not noted to be (In stock ) nor was it noted ( Back order ) . I had to give my full information in order to find out it would not be in for 2-3 weeks . I found this to be a very poor quality ordering service .

it took 6 days to fill an order. all items were in stock and the site says a 24 to 48 hour order process time. they did not let me know of any delays in my order. very unaccaptable, i will be shopping at their competitors from now on.

Adorama offers shipping on most orders in 24-48 hours. I placed a $335 order that did not arrive as expected. The order status on the website indicated that a warehouse picking form had been printed and after repeated emails I received a notice saying it had finally shipped five days after the order was placed. The order never arrived so I called only to learn that they were "CLOSED FOR THE HOLIDAY" unfortunately I couldn't find a calendar that indicated any holiday. After several more emails and calls I was informed that my order HAD NOT shipped and they couldn't imagine why I'd received a notice saying otherwise. I was told that I could not cancel my order because the online order department was closed and there was no manager or supervisor in the company with the authority to assist me. 16 days after my order was placed and still hadn't shipped I was finally able to cancel. In the meantime I spent an additional $100 to buy the products locally so that I would not fall any further behind in my college classes. This merchant is rude, unreliable and I strongly advise consumers to look elsewhere...low prices aren't always a good deal!!

Requirements for international order...

Requirements for international order are totaly unclear. After several e-mails they have sent them to me. But I've noticed that some requirements are stupid. Verification departement didn't answer on my e-mails. They only sent me auto reminder tht my order is stoped. They said me that my bank did not verify their information request. I called to the bank, but they didn't receive any request at all! So, Adorama lied my. They charged my credit card and only after asked about aditional information. This is totaly unacceptible! May be Adorama is good for US and Canada, but DO NOT use them for international orders.

Order not yet fulfilled. Multiple emails from vendor, in respect of verification of my address, my order, my credit card. Dangerous practices in regard to credit card verification, that would lend themselves to identity and credit information theft.

Didn't make the purchase. I ordered the item and received an e-mail to confirm the purchase. I replied and received another reply stating that they couldn't verify my address. They asked for my home phone number (that I supplied with the order), and a copy of a utility bill. I didn't have a recent copy of a bill and wasn't willing to wait for another month for the next bill. I said that if they couldn't approve the order without the bill, cancel the order. It was cancelled. I then ordered the same item from B&H Photo. I received the item in good order 4 days later. I found the run around at Adorama to be unacceptable and will not consider doing future business with them. B&H has earned my business.

I ordered and paid for a lens and gave thema all of my personal information. They contacted me 2 days later and said the item had been sold. I had to call to check if my credit card had been charged. I spoke with a person who had little in common with his "Customer Service" title.. he was rude and abrupt. I am disappointed in this company and plan to tell everyone on all the photo forums I visit that they are to be avoided.

Shops should not say they have things...

Shops should not say they have things in stock on their web- sites then charge your credit card, then have to verify you, then find out that they did not have the item you have been charged for and wait for a backorder after they have already charged your card, then send the wrong item after waiting for this back order, than re-order, not knowing when to expect this reorder credit card bill already in Ones hands, interest now adding up for something never even received. ETC. I used to like this shop. The communication, although always nice and responding to all e-mails, did not really help me to know what was going on or when to expect this item. I am sorry to have to write this, but this is true. I am sad to say, I used to like this store for years, but it is not a place I will likely purchase from after this experience.

I tried to purchase some filters & extension tubes from Adorama. I placed the order on the internet on March 5th. The items were in stock at the time of the order. Later in March I received an email stating that the extension tubes were out of stock & the shipping dept. was out on "holiday" until April 22nd. I tried numerous times to contact someone that could cancel my order so I could use the money to purchase from a different company. It took 8 emails & 7 phone calls to finally get it done. & in the process I was treated with the upmost disrespect.

It seems that everything you order from this merchant is not in stock...which leads me to believe they do not stock the items they claim to. I am very disgusted with their service, their shipping service, their recommendations for alternatives. This will be my last purchase from Adorama.

I cancelled the order because they wanted me to FAX a copy of my drivers liscense and a utility bill. Mining for information. I purchased a $6000.00 watch and didn't have to do that.

I purchased a Minolta Maxxum 8000i used camera which wasadverized in excellent working condition. It was not. The lcd viewfinder was leaked, the glass acute mate screen was detached and the mirror was fogged so the camera was useless. Also the packing was poor, maybe it was dropped on its was but I dont think so. I paid about $230.00 and it is almost all wasted money. I may not buy used equipment from Adorama again.

The order was cancelled due to unacceptable requests by Adorama in varifying my mastercard. No attempt was made by Adorama to do this via the bank, instead they wanted me to send photocopies of both sides of my card and recent statements in order to process the order. This in my view would be foolhardy with respect to my own financial security in these days of identity fraud.

Very disaapointed. Never explain why my order cannot be verified though I have given all info pertaining to myself and shipping address. Received only one liner email message saying my order cannot be verified but give no reason nore request for more info. Order was canceled and caused me big problem. I swear not to deal with Adorama anymore!
