I was lured into buying these 2 flash memory sticks with free shipping but soon found out that shipping wasn't free. I will be much more aware of shopping with Adorama again to see if I get what I essentially feel was "bait and switcch" tactics.

somehow either the browser or the back-end order system dropped the request for expedited (not free, but one level up) basic delivery. additionally, one of the items was apparently backordered although the web site did not indicate as such that i could tell. however, the main order (all but the two backordered items) arrived promptly and luckily the lack of expedited shipping wasn't an issue (and saved a few dollars to boot) but i would have been more comfortable with a short window to receive the goods to have had the expedited shipping. also, the backordered items were identified as a side effect of the order-tracking emails received from adorama and not by any direct contact that i'm aware of (no phone/email). i received feedback promptly from an email query and recommended to call if i couldn't wait; calling and talking with a sales representative found a (reduced capacity) alternative that was acceptably priced and ended up being delivered before the other (regular shipment) that went out the day before. all in all, in spite of the minor hiccups and need for a little more customer care and feeding on order issues, adorama greatly exceeded my expectations and stands out as one of my more favorable on-line shopping experiences (with past experiences, i'm somewhat cautious of places that i haven't shopped at one of their brick&morter stores or had strong recommendations from friends); i will certainly consider them again when i need products that they supply (and for which i don't value face-to-face interactions for pre-sale and post-sale support).

My order was delayed twice. My credit card was charge twice !! The second time it was a manual charge. And so I doubt the safety of credit card numbers. And now I have to make an expensive phone call from India to the United States to get the mess sorted out.

I was told the lenses I have would fit the camera and they did not. I had asked if I could return it if they did not fit and was told yes, but not that all the exact packing materials had to be included. Still waiting to see what they do about the refund. Will trade it for a different camera with them.

Adorama is a great place to shop! If I have any criticism at all, it's the same for all search engines everywhere on the Internet - sometimes it's difficult to know the right search critera to have the results match what you're looking for. I found the Lastolite Reflectors in just a few minutes and they was fairly easy to find. I definitely will shop at Adorama again.

Tried to order by phone, salesman did not know stock but persisted in trying to upsell me to stuff I did not want, to the point of refusing to order what I asked because he know "better" stuff. I finally hung up and ordered online. I tried to use this merchant because of recommendations on a review web site. I got most of what I ordered except for a minor backorder, still have not received that. I tried to exchange one item, requested guidance by 'phone, rechecked on the web and got different instructions there. Checked my account and found I had been credited for the return, but no evidence of exchange. Tried emailing customer service, got a timely reply that the exchange had not been made, I should reorder from scratch. I bought the item from Amazon. I don't much like Amazon, but I'm afraid Adorama gets much worse marks for customer service.

Would have been nice to have other international shipping options available. UPS was very speedy but expensive compared to USPS. I was very impressed with Adorama's selection and search capabilities.
