Canon SX230 marginal benefits for $
I am not that impressed with the Canon SX230 yet, after a month or so of use (2500+ photos). The stitching help feature is not that useful as it uses an extremely small part of the screen to work with, put at least locks the exposure for all the shots.
The movie mode at 1080p seems to work...

Strong performer, for photos with a few flaws
I bought this Canon SX230 HS to replace an older powershot camera. I got it for 2 main reasons. I wanted to use it in situations where I did not have my DSLR, and also wanted to take advantage of the build in GPS so I could geo-tag my photos. Feature packed high end compact
This is the best of the compact models Canon has launched so far this year. The camera itself is a upgrade over the SX210 IS.
If i had any concerns it would be the 12MP resolution which i would have preferred a little higher for this camera. But within that there is a super wide angle...
