Canon DC22 Review, Disappointment
This is 2 mega pixel dvd camcorder that is selling for as little as $289 or as high as $489 dollars. I think ultimately I was disappointed in this camcorder for two reasons: Indoor and low light way below average especially in very low light. Gratefull for the Gift

DC22 is an excellent value, great video, good stills, DVD is a plus
We got a DC22 after almost getting one of the newer memory card based camcorders. Mainly got it to replace an aging SVHS-C camcorder that no longer focussed well in low light.

I'm returning mine
The most unnerving feature is that the "direct to DVD" feature doesn't work. I've put the completed DVD into both of my DVD players, and both of my laptop computers, and I can't get any of them to read the DVD. The DVD players present the message "invalid disk" or "No play". Value for money
This Camcorder is the happy medium between cheap camcorders and expensive state of the art video recorder. DC22 let you record and replay the video on a standard TV. Not so impressive..
Using one for little more than 6 months.. the battery life is really bad it'll last just for 20-25 min and some of the options like still camera mode is not easy.. I think the quality of the video is reasonable. Next time I would like to buy a camcorder with hard disk... Read full review »
