Mitsubishi 52725 Great TV, Fan noisy!!!

Pros Great HD picture, all the connectors and card slots you want
Cons Noisy fans, Slow channel change with internal cable card
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  I have been for price/value HDTV and this is it!
I have the 52725 for almost two months now, and I can say that I am satisfied with the overall experience.... except for these two issues.

1. The Fans are noisy:
This TV has two fans. One that runs all the time, if you have the cable card installed as I do, and the second one is the main cooling fan.

2. When you change Channels, it takes 5 seconds for the channel to display... With the cable box, it is 1 second.

Item 2 should not be an issue since the TV menu is not that sophisticated on this TV when compared with the cable box. So this can be solved by a cable/sattelite box.

For the fans, I complained to Magnolia, who contacted Mitsubishi who sent their local contract company to look at the issue first. Well, the fan next to the Cable card is by design always on I was told. This was Mistubishi's response... Why in the world would a fan has to be on when the TV has been off for hours. Could not comprehend that!...

The main cooling fan is the biggest issue when watching silent scenes and the kids are not around! This is the main cooling fan located in the middle that blows the air coming from the air filter on the left side of the TV. I had the fan replaced by the contract company technician that could not find the location for one screw he took off 10 minutes ago!!!

Same issue... Noisy fan... I don't believe the fan is the issue here. It is the internal air conduits inside the box that create this unpleasant music to the ears... imagine a pipe organ! lousy engineering job from Mistubishi engineers!!!

I am giving up unless, I get some educated comments from ya'll folks!

One last word... I am willing to live with this issue since HD2 on this TV is awsome!

But the quality control engineer in me says, fight some/one of those lousy engineers who screwed up this perfect product by overlooking this important part of the A/V experience, the AUDIO... Their QA department should have picked up this issue before it gets shipped out!

BTW, I sent an email to Mistubishi support center but no response so far and I don't expect one!

Thewarner!
