Pros Phones where I've never had them before! Features galore!
Cons Reception not always very good. Conversations sometimes "drop out" briefly.

Overview
I moved into my house about seven years ago. Built in the 1980's, my home has most of the typical features that you'd expect in a house built twenty years ago.

One of the things that has always irked me, however, has been the sparse placement of phone jacks in the house... Read full review »

Pros Nicely designed handset; 4-lines; Plenty of great features
Cons Terribly disappointing sound quality
Recommended it? No

Boy, was I ever excited to get my hands on this phone! Finding a 4-line cordless phone is really a daunting task, so when I saw that VTech had just released this 2.4Ghz 4-line model, I ordered one immediately. I was really hoping that this phone would be just what I had been searching for.

For the money, you get what you pay for.

Pros Affordable, simple to use, a means to an end.
Cons There are definitely better multi-handset systems out there.

So, what do you do when you have a large townhouse, and only one phone jack in the entire place? You can either run wire by crawling under your house and around in your attic space, try and snake the phone wire drops up or down your walls & install phone jacks; or you can buy a single base multi... Pros Its possible to add headsets. Long range for talking. Has speaker phone.
Cons The digital sound, sounds different from a regular phone.
Recommended it? Yes

Working at Radio Shack, this is the phone that I recommend to people that want one phone as their primary house phone. The reason for this is it has a stroung enough signal to beable to go anywhere around your house, actualy you could go up to two and half miles away from the base. Also another... Read full review »

This phone is a GREAT Value! 4-Lines - WOW!

Pros 4 Lines (wow), Compact, Nice button layout, Speakerphone in handset, Ethernet Friendly
Cons Slight background hiss, Only 3 min hold, Wish it was 5.8GHz, Speakerphone volume is low
Recommended it? Yes

I just took a chance and purchased this 4-line V-Tech 40-2421 system one week ago, despite several bad reviews. I decided to take the chance since I really needed a cordless phone with more than 2 lines (needed 3, this phone has 4). I was expecially worried that I would have trouble since I already... Pros Simple configure, reliable, RUGGED, little interference, speakerphone good, cheap on...
Cons handset large, batteries suck, mike gets background noise, functions not intuitive,...
Recommended it? Yes

Small business in my home has four lines and three of us using the phone. This was perfect. Bought one on e-bay and eventually five add-on handsets (to have a spare or two.) The range is great within the house and there is not interference except from the microwave. I am on it all day long with a... Read full review »

Pros None so far
Cons Poor clarity, poor range, poor design and construction, poor (outgoing) volume.
Recommended it? No

I have been using cordless phones since they were first introduced and I can say unequivocally that these are the sorriest I have ever seen. The clarity varies depending on the direction you are facing, the range is awful and they are VERY poorly made. One of them the battery cover (and battery)... Read full review »

Fine for minimal, short term use.

Pros three phones only need one phone jack
Cons buttons stopped working battery dies quickly too expensive for the low quality
Recommended it? No

Great idea for homes with too few phone jacks. I've had this system for 3 years - the #1 button no longer functions on two of the three handsets. Incoming voices are extremely loud - no private conversations on this phone! Quality not in line with cost. I'd try a different manufacturer. Read full review »

This may be my first review here on epinions. If I'm missing something, I'm sorry!

At my writing of this review, 4/7/04, there were only 2 reviews and they were both negative. That left me VERY disappointed. This phone system was so much of what I wanted that I was determined to find some... Read full review »

Pros Great concept. Close to excellent.
Cons No paging from base. No

Great if you have multiple lines and you want mobility without having to wire your office or home with every combination of line and location.

Pros:
* Great to have all features in the handset.
* No one seems to complain about sound quality when using speakerphone
