Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
This is one of the best universal remotes that you can currently get.
Intro:
I use to own one of the universal remotes from the nineties, which essentially meant that I could control either my VCR or my TV or my Cable box. Nowadays universal remotes are much more advanced with beautiful portable screens and the ability to control your entire media setup with ease. I was researching universal remotes for a while, because I wanted one that you control all of my tech goodies without breaking the bank, and I also wanted some of the fancy features that all of the very expensive universal remotes feature. The Universal Remote Control R50 was the best buy that I found online, coming in under $200 with all of the features of a much more expensive model, including the gorgeous LCD screen built-in to the remote.
Setup:
With other universal remotes, I feel like you need to check-out a couple of library books just to figure out how to program the things. However the Universal Remote Control R50 is much easier to use, the only thing that this universal remote comes with is a Quick Start Guide, and the remote is so easy to use that this is the only piece of information that you'll need. Then all you will need to do is program all of your electronics into the remote, this won't be hard because the interface of the remote is simply excellent, and well designed. I was able to breeze through the setup in no time, and I was up and running.
Using the Remote:
This universal remote features something that really impressed me, and that is called MacroPower, which allows you to power up all of your equipment at once. There is also the big and bright LCD screen, which makes using this remote a much more pleasurable experience, I definitely learned how to use this remote much faster thanks to the easy to use interface. The remote is powered by batteries, 4x AA, and the remote also features 32 MB of flash memory.
Conclusion:
I absolutely recommend this exceptional remote control, especially if you have a lot of electronic equipment that you want to control quick, the Universal Remote Control R50 is the ideal universal remote for the tech junkie who wants the latest hook up without breaking the bank.
