The Bottom Line:
I would avoid this set and look elsewhere. Read all of the reviews below. Some are good but very few. Keep reading Epinions for a better phone!
OK, OK, I know. I should have read Epinions first before purchasing these phones at Target. It seemed like such a good deal at the time. I needed two new cordless phones and an answering machine and these fit the bill, and they were for a good price.
OK, I waited the 20 hours to charge the batteries after setting up the base station in the family room and the 2nd handset in the office upstairs. I tried out the handset from the base station and instantly I knew their was something wrong. The volume of the handset was changing higher and lower on it's own as well as LOTS of static and it sounded as if it were looking for a clear station even though I was sitting 2 feet away from the base.
I tried to call my wife at work and I almost couldn't hear her at all. I then tried out the 2nd handset in the office and I did register it as the instruction said but I couldn't make a call out as it kept searching for the base.
Needless to say, it's boxed back up and in the Target bag along with the receipt to be returned tomorow. I am now looking for a good set of phones with an answering machine for a reasonable price.
I would suggest to avoid this product as from the reviews below and my experience, they were all right, it's a mess...
