INCREDIBLE TOP-OF-THE LINE WORK OF ART !!
Fabulous machine !
It uses Vista and that has had "some" drawbacks but all-in-all I'me EXTREMELY pleased with my purchase. It's very fast (considering that I prefer dialup for security's sake) and VERY user-friendly. The BIGGEST advantage it has is it's "restore" function - which - when "something" goes wrong (and something often does) you can restore (it takes no more than 5 minutes) your computer to the EXACT same condition and working state it was in - a few days before you had the dilemma. The computer suggests a date or you can choose your own "restore point", and BINGO! you're back in business! It also has a side-view window to see ALL of your windows at once and flip through them and/or choose one - which is a handy feature when you have a lot of windows open and need to go quickly to a specific one. There is also a sleep feature which disconnects it and allows it to be ready to go at a moment's notice yet not be using any energy while it "sleeps". The machine also has separate controls on a bar on the left of the keyboard for the specific control of CDs being heard or DVDs being watched. There is also a drop-down virtual keyboard for the "F" function keys and some additional controls. If you don't want to use it at the time you just slide your arrow to the top border and the virtual keyboard disappears. I could go on and on with special features, but - anyway - I find this machine absolutely GREAT! I've had it since Mar.01,2007 and its a godsend.
Uses Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5200, has 1014mb RAM, and 160Gb memory, 1580x800 resolution & has a BUILT-IN transformer for direct use when plugging-in overseas !!! Needs only an adaptor for the electrical outlet plug size.
