I was really excited when I bought this Toshiba HD DLP Projection TV less than two years ago. Great picture, great colors, and it was my first large screen TV. However, after a while the fan noise started to be noticeable - even when the TV was off for a while. Then, before two years had passed, it... Read full review »

First off, this TV has a great picture and was a great price (at the time i bought it). Now for the bad news. I've owned this TV for just over two years and in that time have already replaced the bulb once and now the color wheel is making a very loud noise and is going to cost $750 to replace. If... Pros Picture quality.
Cons Lamp life, fan noise.
Recommended it? Yes

Bought and using it for just about 11 months. Lamp burned out once already and Toshiba provided replacement for free. Very simple change out once I received the lamp. Great picture quality, the black maybe too dark for some. Fairly easy setup. I would recommend this unit, although you can purchase... Read full review »

Pros Great picture, tons of features, reasonable price
Cons Slide show feature is slow.
Recommended it? Yes

I purchased the 52hm95 recently and I am once again amazed how Toshiba can continually make high quality TV's at such a low price. Before this TV I owned a 51" HDTV projection from Toshiba and the reason I purchased that TV was due to the fact that it had the best picture for a projection out of... Read full review »

Purchased television on 8/29/05, has great picture and
good visibility range. Have had non-stop problems with the Cablecard which through several phone calls we are trying to fix. Toshiba provided a software upgrade to alleviate with no success but have been very attentive.

Pros Great image quality, easy to use remote and good sound quality.
Cons Costly and multiple repairs.
Recommended it? No

Had the set for nearly three years and I'm on my 4th lamp and third light engine.

Thank goodness we read the reviews and purchased a service contract because it would have cost us $2,400 to get the parts and service. I hope I can extend the service plan.

I actually went out and... Read full review »

Pros Beautiful HD picture, lousy SD picture
Cons Short bulb life/And hi cost. Factory service very poor!

I purchased a new Toshiba 52HM95 DLP In Nov. 2005. I have had nothing but trouble with it and Toshiba's 1-800 help line is a joke! The set continuously turned itself off and on, the fan runs 24/7 and finally at about 45 days, the bulb exploded. After waiting 18 minutes on the phone with Toshiba I... Read full review »

Pros Very nice picture with true HD and nice amount of connections.
Cons TV should last more than 3 months. Poor customer service.

I bought this tv in Nov. 2005. In Feb. 2006 the lamp has already gone bad, with only regular daily use. Toshiba asked me to take it to a local service company, and they say they have to get in contact with Toshiba for the ok for a new lamp. After a week and a half of nothing being done, I can't get... I purchased this TV 4 months ago and have had nothing but problems with it. This is my 3rd 52HM95 and after it worked well for 2 months it now has a color wheel going bad, making the TV unwatchable. I contacted Toshiba and they gave me some service centers to call. The first one, "Phillips Radio &... Read full review »

Bought this TV in Sept '05 after two weeks of research both online and in stores. Had my sights on Samsung 5067W until I saw this on display at Sears. Brightness was unmatched in comparison to Samsung or any other DLP projection TV. 5 watts more per channel in speaker output than Samsung. Throw in... Read full review »
