Love At First Sound

Pros Compact, totally portable, great tuner, looks good, rich sound
Cons Price, very little warning when the battery is depleted.
Recommended it? Yes
This product offers the fabulous sound of the Tivoli Model One in a portable package. While it is not designed to shatter glass the way the Bose SoundDock is, it will run many hours on a charge, is small and light and adds the advantage of being able to play any source (iPod, CD player, etc.) It also has an AM/FM tuner which routinely brings in Tucson FM stations in the Phoenix area (over 00 miles apart).

The iPAL responds well to the Griffin iTrip so you can dock your iPod with your stereo and keep it out of harm's way and take the iPAL outside and have music everywhere.

Used with direct iPod input (a cable is provided with the iPAL), just turn down the output volume to about 70% and the iPAL does the rest.

The power LED blinks when the iPAL needs to be charged. Usually that means it has about 15 minutes of power left, but it will run off the charger while it slow-charges.

Quality of materials is very good. At $150 there are certainly options to consider but after a year of use, I continue to be very happy with my purchase.
