Great Speakers for those who need space but want great sound
Pros
Great sound. Nice eye-catching design. Cool ability to switch songs. 2 speakers save space.
Cons
Buttons are temperamental. Controlling speaker does get hot after extended use.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
These speakers are great for those with cash and who like an eye-catching design that does not skimp on performance and need the desktop space.
These speakers first caught my eye with their looks and did not disappoint in quality. They are everything that I hoped to get. I got them because my desk is already crowded and one more wire for a subwoofer would have confused things even more. The two speaker design is very cool.
Looks: Nothing beats these speakers in this department. The are the first thing people comment on when they look at my desk and every feels the need to mess around with them (could this be a con?) 5/5 stars.
Sound: Looks are nice, but sound is the deal breaker. Even without a bulky subwoofer, the speakers deliver decent bass. It isn't too tight and boomy and does not dominate a room like a sub can often times do. The highs are crisp and the mids are not muddy and blended. I like how these speakers sound. the only drawback is that they do distort at the upper levels of volume when played from an auxiliary source (mp3 player, ipod). Although they look small, they can really pump and disturb the people out in my hallway :). 4.5/5 stars.
Interactive Performance: One thing that separates these speakers apart is the ability to change tracks and control your media player right from the speaker. The touchscreen is nice but not perfect. The buttons do work, but are glitchy at times. Sometimes they seem too sensitive and other times they never react. For the most part it works fine, you just have to ask yourself if it something you want to deal with. I like the ability to change a song without changing anything on my laptop. 4/5 stars.
These speakers are a little pricey, but are very nice if you can afford them. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to get computer speakers but does not want to deal with all of the cords that come with multiple speakers.
