DVD - VCR play works fine
Recording older VCR moves that do not have the anti copy protection code on them, record fine. Before playing them on another DVD player or computer, the disk has to be finalized by the recording DVD player unit. Recorded DVDs are NOT Compatible with Other Players
I copied two VHS tapes to DVDs on this machine. The DVDs play back on this machine, but every other DVD player I tried failed to play them, including another Sony DVD player which displayed a "no disc" error. NOT HAPPY
After just one year this recorder stopped recording onto VHS. And two weeks after that, the DVDs would not eject. And not only that, but it ejected DVDs super slow from the beginning. It took at least 5 seconds to eject a DVD after you pushed the button. I would not recommend this product to... Read full review »
Recorded DVDs are fully compatible with other players
This recorder works fine. The reviewer who could not play recorded dvds on other machines obviously did not "finalize" his recordings. He should have read the instructions. Read full review »
