Pros Featherweight and extremely unobtrusive - Solid sound, good transients
Cons Certainly not audiophile quality, but these are excellent headphones
Recommended it? Yes

I'm sorry, but sometimes you have to take these reviews with a grain of salt. I've been on a quest for headphones for a week now and yesterday I finally made the decision and went out and nabbed set of Sony's MDR-G73LP headphones -- In my opinion a fantastic purchase to go along with my new... Pros More comfortable than other Sony Street Style headphones.
Cons Too bright! Also, fits poorly on many people.
Recommended it? No

I first saw on the Sony USA Web site that the Sony MDR-G73LP Street Style headphones existed three months ago, but I never saw any picture of them - until I went to my local Best Buy retail superstore last week, and purchased them for the full retail price of $39.99 out of curiosity. But after just... Read full review »

Pros Compact, comfortable, stay in place, good sound, and one of a kind styling.
Cons Color, may not work on all head types.
Recommended it? Yes

I spent a couple weeks looking for just the right pair of Headphones. I wanted something that I could use running and lying in bed that would also fit in my pocket. I have a I-River MP-3 player and the included ear buds were always falling out, plus they hurt my ears after a short time. I have had... Read full review »

Looking for new headphones
I recently bought myself a Sony Network Walkman, the NW-MS9 (check out my review), but this player came with Fontopia earbuds, and I don't like ear buds. And the sound quality was, well, too 'weak' for me. So I checked Sony to see what... Read full review »

Pros Very comfortable, they look cool, great sound, deep bass.
Cons None yet.
Recommended it? Yes

I am one of the many people who are tired of conventional syle head phones. I'm tired of getting my hair messed up and looking "uncool" because of nerdy headphone designs. Getting street style headphones was the answer to the "uncool" problem, but the reviews I read here on epinions told me that... Read full review »

A Mediocre Headphone With Make-Ups

byzuerst Nov 27, 2002
5 Helpfuls 6 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Unique design, comfy...
Cons Mediocre sound, flashy colors...
Recommended it? No

The G73LP's unique, stretchable headband stretches for good fit (for me at least) and its lightweight makes it pretty comfortable to wear. Its color and look is subjective, but I find it a bit too bright, flashy, and overboard.

The sound quality of the G73LP is mediocre at best. The highs... Read full review »

Beware of the behind-the-head style that is painful to wear

byaterminatorz Oct 21, 2007
4 Helpfuls 5 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Attractive Pricing, Good Sound Quality In Mid-range, Does not interfere with hairstyle
Cons Painful to Wear, Highs and Lows Could Be Improved, Foam Earpieces Ripped
Recommended it? No

I own a pair similar to these. I bought the Sony MDR-G52 headphones about 6 years ago and they still work. I use them for light use in my home with a CD player, laptop, and TV. The foam covers that are on the ear pieces ripped after a few years of ownership. These headphones cause discomfort after... Read full review »

Pros Comfortable, deep sound, stylish
Cons none
Recommended it? Yes

These headphones are some of the best I have ever owned. They are extremely comfortable and provide rich, deep sound. They can easily be worn for hours on end with no discomfort. In fact, it's easy to forget that you're even wearing them. The headphones roll up when not being worn, meaning that... Read full review »

Pros Comfort
Cons Price, awkward

I bought these headphones after thoroughly being disappointed with a set of Koss headphones I had purchased. I thought these were going to be the answer to all of my problems. These are Sony's, supposedly the name in portable audio/audio accessories. Not only are they Sony's, these were the most... Read full review »

Pros Very Lightweight, good sound, look cool too
Cons Gets tangled easy
Recommended it? Yes

These headphones don't just sound great but they feel great too. I had the old Sony street style headphones and they seemed to hurt my ears after wearing them for any extended period of time. These feel great. I run and really wanted to get the earbud type headphones but they all sound like crap... Read full review »
