What do you mean I have to give this back?
I've owned a few gadgets in my time that were beyond useless. The "Vegamatic" (at least I think this is what it was called) was one, and if you don't know what that is, ask your mother.

Good recorder
This recorder does a great job. I record a lot of live lectures, and it does a great job at that. I got the one that doesn't have the digital transcriber software, but the unit itself is very good. Reconsider your purchase.
I purchased the ICD-SX25 9/15/05. I was replacing an older one that I lost. The old one could reproduce a male's voice with sufficient volume to play back in a moving car.
