Forget Noise Cancelling and Get This!

Pros Great Noise Cancellation, Quality is acceptable, No need to crank up the volume
Cons Safety Issue when used in street, May feel uncomfortable for some
Recommended it? Yes
I own a Shure for 3 years now. First started with the older Shure model and got a replacement SE115 once the old one broke, thanks to the 2 year warranty. I like that it blocks out a lot of the noise when I get on the train or the bus. I also like that it doesn't protrude too much from the ear, so I can wear it to sleep. Depending on the pillow you use, you may feel it slightly when you sleep on your sides.
Another good thing about these headphones is that I can listen to my music without turning up the volume. If you've heard the recent news that Europe is looking into enacting a law limiting the volume on iPods, you'll find that the problem is actually caused by those default ear phones that comes with the iPod - they're not noise isolating and in a noisy environment you need to crank the volume up to listen to a single proper note.

The Shure headphones does its job and may even save your eardrums.
Safety precaution - do not use it when you're walking on the street or crossing the road because the noise isolation can put you in danger. I almost got hit by a bus listening to music on my Shure noise isolation headphones.
