The Bottom Line:
Anyone looking for an affordable and powerful receiver will not be dissappointed with this value driven product.
A couple of reviewers stated that this receiver suffers from a lack of bass. I have my RX-4103 hooked up to a pair of Polk Monitor 5 series II and there is nothing lacking from the sound of this receiver. The highs are good, the mids are great, and the bass is ample even when the tone controls are defeated. Now I have heard more from other receivers but they cost many times more than the price of the RX-4103. It has inputs for CD, Tape, VCR, and AUX. It also has remote controlled A and B speaker outputs. It even has a digital volume control which goes from 0 to 63 (most of the time I don't need to crank it above 35). The discrete transistor amplifier provides pleny of clean sound and great stereo seperation. The build quality is above average. This thing weighs over 20 lbs. (most in this price range weigh in at only 15-16 lbs) with a good size power transformer. I even know of one that was dropped (dented the top panel and broke a foot off) and it still worked and sounded as good as new. For the price you just cannot go wrong with this simple and inexpensive stereo receiver.
