I wanted a Blu Ray player that didn't necessarily have all the bells and whistles but was a quality product and worked well. I bought this player and can say it is absolutely that. The first time I watched a Blu Ray movie on it, I notice it does take maybe 10 seconds or so to run the DVD at first but the quality is exceptional. I haven't had any problems and find that it makes regular DVD's look better and it does upconvert them. Great buy.
