Worst product Ive ever Used.
This is not hyperbole. Honestly, this is the worst piece of electronics Ive ever owned. Because of the contracts involved there is no way to return it either, avoid this at all costs.

Not the Best!
I've been a Tivo fan and when directv got their own version of a dvr I was bummed but had to go with it due to the free upgrade. I have 4 different DVRs in my house and 2 are tivo. Run away!
I used to have a DirecTV Tivo unit, the R10. Unfortunately, it crapped out one day, so I went to the store to pick up this unit to replace it. The R15 is the first DVR offered by DirecTV that isn't based on Tivo, it is based on their own software, and boy has been a nightmare dealing with it.

3 days of hell
I've only had the R15 for 3 days and what a piece of junk. Freezes, loses recordings, remote doubles single hits often, needs reset. Today I called Directv and they had me reset everything. Bad Interface
I received the R15 as a replacement for a failed R10 DirecTivo. The TiVo offered intuitive menu structures that were laid out in logical sequence.
