The Bottom Line:
If you lack the money to buy the absolute best, forget middle of the road products, look no further than these. Inexpensive, durable, comfortable, great sound.
First of all I should say that I solemnly vowed I would never wear ear bud style headphones. I've always had problems keeping them in my ears, mainly the Apple ear bud style. I was always the big over the head, over the ear, big honking headphone type. I was very wary when going to pick out this style of headphone.
Arriving at the store to pick out my ne pair of headphones, I was overwhelmed by the selection I was presented with. Not only were there probably 100 different options of the same type of headphones, (ranging from $5 - $400) but I was barraged with pitches by the salesman trying to inform me I could get a $300 dollar pair that had a lifetime warranty; he informed me that they eventually would virtually pay for themselves. He even went so far as giving me a sound test to prove to me just how good these other (Sony) headphones were.
At this point, I was almost positive I would never find a decent pair of headphones for under $200 and was resigned to the fact I was basically buying a throw away pair. That's when, on a whim, and for lack of enough money to buy some of the higher grade headphones, I grabbed these headphones. I've never made a luckier choice than this.
Panasonic RP-HJE50 Headphones provide amazing value for the price, sound just as good as the gold or platinum plated headphones I tested from the salesman, and you can't really beat the price. You need not look any further than these if you're looking for your next pair of ear-bud style headphones.
