This phone has an Auto Talk feature in the initial settings menu. Turning this feature on activates the phone when removed from the cradle. No buttons need to be pushed to receive a call.
With one base station up to 8 additional handsets can be linked to this phone. Includes handset paging, intercom, and call transferring which is helpful in a large home or a home with teenagers. Call transferring means no more shuffling of phones if you happen to pick up a call for the kids. This phone can page their room/handset, open an intercom line to talk, then transfer the call to their handset. And all with 2 pushes of one button on the base station.
Another nice feature is room monitoring. When a handset user chooses to allow this feature you can listen in to other handsets. This could be helpful as an alternative to a baby monitor.
