Poor customer service/parts department
In 2006 I purchased a Panasonic KX-TG5621S cordless phone that has many good features. We replaced the original battery and both batteries had a long life.

Panasonic's budget 5.8GHz Cordless
The KX-TG5621S is a good basic phone if you don't need a lot of bells and whistles. You will get caller ID, Call waiting ID, 5 redial memories, and a phonebook, but that's about it. Poor volume
A previous Panasonic cordless phone having failed I tried this model. I may be out of luck but voice volume, even when set at high, is poor. At times have to strain to hear.
