Gateway and Bravanta Rewards recently gave me this classy silver DVD Player made by Panasonic. Bravanta Rewards is an incentive program that allows you to accumulate points over the course of a year, and redeem them for merchandise. Because the Bravanta Rewards will not let you accrue the points... Read full review »

The Panasonic DVD-RV32K is a DVD player that can play MP3, WMA, CD-R, CD-RW, VCD, XVCD… You name it and the RV32K will most likely play it.

The RV32 is a replacement for the Panasonic RV31, which already was an excellent DVD player.

Pros Panasonic video quality, plenty of outputs, MP3 Playback, under $150
Cons Lacks progressive scan, would be nice to have coaxial digital output
Recommended it? Yes

If you are still waiting to buy your first DVD player, or are looking for a newer player with more features at a reasonable price, Panasonic is a good bet. This player replaces their DVD-RV31 model, which received very positive reviews and sold a LOT of units.

Very competitive DVD player at a NOT so competitive price!

Pros Price, Quality, Many options, Most output types, Dialogue Enhancer, Compatibility
Cons No Progressive Scan
Recommended it? Yes

After having used my Playstation 2 as a primary DVD player for a number of years, I finally decided that it was time to maybe consider getting one that would focus more on DVD's as opposed to video games. Plus, as anyone else with a PS2 knows, they tend to quit reading/playing DVD's after so long,... Read full review »

Pros Versatile, inexpensive, DVD, DVD-R/RW, CD, VCD, CR-R/RW, MP3 & WMA player
Cons Short, only 90 day, warranty
Recommended it? Yes

Background to this purchase
My 14 year old Sharp CD player quit working. Upon further inspection, with the top off the CD player, I discovered that the disc platter was no longer turning. However, if I pressed the play button and gave the disc a spin with my finger then it would play the... Read full review »

Nice player with some trade offs.

Pros Great MP3 interface, quick remote response and quiet drive motor.
Cons No coaxial connection, drab colors even with component connection.
Recommended it? No

If your looking for a good value player, this RV32 is one of the top ones out there. The MP3 interface is one of the best (better than the Toshiba SD-3800 which was limited to 8 characters). The menu setup system is easy to get around but not loaded with a bunch of details for people who like to... Read full review »

Could this thing replace your old or dead audio CD player? Maybe..

Pros position memory. fast scan.
Cons no volume on remote. slow to read disc.

Let me just say, right off the bat, that I will be
exclusively concentrating, in this review, on
audio-CD playing
features, that other reviewers
neglected to mention.

Maybe they are not important, but they were to me.

This is why:
What I mainly wanted to... Read full review »

Pros This product serves the basic needs of a DVD player extremely well.
Cons If you are looking for a more sophisticated DVD player, this is not for you.
Recommended it? Yes

This DVD player works beautifully if you are just looking to watch movies. I have had this model since Christmas time, and it has always done exactly what I've needed it to. If you are into the newest technology and the BEST there is to have, then maybe you don't want to buy this. If you just want... Read full review »

Panasonic DVD RV32

Pros At the time it was released, it was a high end product
Cons Made to last for max of 2 years for an average user
Recommended it? No

Another one bites the dust with "H07" error. I had this unit for nearly 5 years. The reason it lasted this long is that it was hardly used.

After reading the reviews it is apparent that it is a common problem with this model.

I am sure it will extinct soon. Read full review »

Cons Only 2x zoom, older model

I bought the DVD-RV32 online for about $150. It's a good deal for the piece of equipment you get. The sound and picture quality are superb. There is an incredible feature that lets you push a button so the unit remembers where in the movie you left off (even if the power is off). It's called the... Read full review »
