Pros Price, excellent recording and playback, features and connectivity, onscreen guide
Cons Lack of FireWire input, can't record to DVD+R/W, MP3 playback quality

Pros easy to use/ reliable
Cons dust problems/ dvd-r dvd-ram only

I have a dmr e65 since february 2006. it is the best dvd recorder i've ever worked with. however, it has a major desavantage: unfortunately, the air flow inside the case it isn't very well designed so , most likely, you will have dust problems.
